Meet Adam & Laura

Keylock Games began with a simple question —
do we take the leap and build something we love, or keep wondering “what if?”

We first experienced an escape room back in 2017 and were instantly hooked. But it wasn’t until later, after gaining some hands-on experience designing and building rooms, that we realised this was something we truly wanted to pursue.

So in August 2021, we made the decision to go for it — and by February 2022, Keylock Games opened its doors.

Since then, we’ve been growing, evolving, and welcoming players through our doors ever since.

What Makes Keylock Different

All of our rooms are designed and built entirely in-house — we don’t buy pre-made games or off-the-shelf puzzles. Everything you experience at Keylock is created from scratch, with a focus on atmosphere, storytelling, and puzzles that feel genuinely satisfying to solve.

We’re also big on making sure everyone feels welcome — whether it’s your first game or your fiftieth. If you’ve visited before, you’ve probably already met us, or Sophie — a local team member who’s been with us since 2023 — and had a chat before or after your game.

A Bit About Us

Outside of Keylock, life doesn’t slow down — with five kids and Laura working as a teacher, there’s always plenty going on.

That naturally shapes what we create, especially when it comes to designing experiences that work for families and mixed groups.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support from Wickford and the surrounding areas — it’s what allows us to keep doing what we love.

We’re proud to regularly sponsor the Wickford in Bloom campaign, and over the years we’ve given away thousands of pounds worth of experiences and discounts to local schools, children’s football teams, and community scout and explorer groups.
